My Synergist Saddle is the best investment I've made for the comfort of both my horse and me! I would think it'd be great on a short-backed horse as its style (the light-weight trail ... what I chose) has less skirt without sacrificing seat space and comfort! I just did 8 hours in it gathering cattle the other day and was actually able to walk the next day! LOL - I couldn't believe I wasn't sore or had achy knees! Glad you enjoyed the pictures :)

I too have been looking for a new saddle. I ride a Rocky Mtn Horse and feel my current saddle is just too big for him. I like the room but he has a short back. Received the DVD from CJ a few weeks ago and continue to refer to their website. Have seen and heard nothing but positive comments. Thanks for sharing your story. Love the pictures.

Thanks for your input! I like how you succinctly bring it back to the foundation of any kind of work we do with our horses - the way we interact with them!

Thank you for reminding me and your other readers about the importance of connecting and communicating with our horses. Reading your blog reminded me of how much training is actually socializing. We can purchase all the necessary riding equipment (and some of the fun doo-dads!) but, ultimately, it is how we interact with our horses that creates the stage for everything they can and will do for us. You reminded me that the basics of horse behavior haven't changed at all and it is up to us, as riders, to use that knowledge of horse behavior to create and orchestrate successful training, riding, and showing experiences for both ourselves and our horses.

That is unfortunate!!!!! I hope there is a way for you to follow up on what happened to your horse. I have tried finding out online what happened with her court date and the verdict, or even what has happened to the remaining horses but to no avail. If anyone out there knows anything - please keep the rest of us informed. I do wonder what became of the horses the authorities took from her and even more important, the horses that were left in her care!
Thanks for everyone's comments.
